Perfect Fall Wedding at The Barn at Perona Farms

The Barn at Perona Farms in Andover, New Jersey is stunning. Couples book this gorgeous space years in advance… and it’s easy to see why! Dan & Danielle had the most amazing wedding this past November, and it was no doubt worth the wait.

The morning of November 2nd was overcast. I looked out my window and crossed my fingers that the weather would hold out. I knew how much Dan and Danielle wanted an outdoor ceremony on the lawn outside of the Barn, where the reception would be held. Lucky enough, it did! The weather was temperate and perfect as they exchanged vows. I’ve always heard that an overcast sky is the perfect setting for photos, and it is obviously true.

When Danielle emailed me about the vision for their invitation suite, it was clear they had a specific (and beautiful) vision in mind.

“Our color scheme is deep gemstones (burgundy, navy, teal, and aubergine) with gold as the metal and greenery like eucalyptus. We both like a painted/watercolor look of flowers, or design in different colors with the nice handwriting script and really love envelope liners.”

I was immediately giddy and beyond thrilled to begin designing for them. Watercolor floral elements are probably my favorite, and I knew the array of colors in their palette would be so pretty to work with. Together we would also design coordinating Menus, Escort Cards (that would be used in succulents as their favors!), Hotel Bag Welcome Cards, and various Signage around the venue.

I consider myself very lucky to have Dan and Danielle as friends. I had the honor of attending this extraordinary wedding as well as designing for it. Everything came together perfectly… every little detail was thoughtful and charming. Not to mention the unforgettable party!

In the midst of the reception, the skies opened up. But you couldn’t tell from the smiles on the couple’s faces.  I’m pretty sure they lit up the room everywhere they went. And, venturing outside into the downpour resulted in this phenomenal photo.

Designing for and attending this gorgeous wedding is definitely a highlight of 2018. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Campbell… cheers to a lifetime of happiness and dancing in the rain!
